Building Sustainable Solutions for Ghana's Most Vulnerable Communities

Sustainable Initiative for Global Change (SIGC) is a registered non-governmental organization headquartered in Accra with field operations in the Eastern Region of Ghana. We work at the intersection of youth empowerment, health, food security, and economic self-reliance. Our programs reach teenagers, vulnerable women, persons with disabilities, and entire communities through structured, evidence-based interventions.

Teen Mentorship & Pregnancy Prevention

Teen Mentorship & Pregnancy Prevention

Structured school-based mentorship, reproductive health education, and life skills training to keep teenagers in school and reduce teenage pregnancy rates. We also support teens who dropped out of school due to pregnancy to continue their education.

Career Guidance & Life Planning

Career Guidance & Life Planning

Career seminars, counseling sessions, vocational pathway education, and internship placements to give young people clear direction and opportunities.

Handicraft & Youth Employment

Handicraft & Youth Employment

Training teenagers in bead making, tailoring, basket weaving, soap making, and gypsum mold production. Building youth cooperatives and linking products to markets.

Zero Hunger Initiative

Zero Hunger Initiative

Food distribution, community food banks, backyard gardening projects, small-scale farming support, and nutrition education to build household food security.

Health Screening Programs

Health Screening Programs

Free community health screenings including blood pressure, diabetes, eye testing, prostate cancer, and HIV testing. Delivered through partnerships with health professionals.

Vulnerable Group Support

Vulnerable Group Support

Skills training, micro-enterprise support, financial literacy, and assistive device provision for persons with disabilities, widows, single mothers, and vulnerable women.

Scholarship Program

Scholarship Program

Educational scholarships for children from basic school through junior high school to university. We invest in the next generation by removing financial barriers to education.
